GYROTONIC® Golf Application in Frankfurt – Targeted development of rotation, mobility, and fluidity of movement
A golf swing looks elegant when it is biomechanically efficient – when there is no wasted effort and the entire body moves in a coordinated sequence. This is precisely what can be trained. As a certified GYROTONIC® Master Trainer specializing in golf applications, Martin Lämmerhirt employs a method directly tailored to the movement demands of the game.
GYROTONIC® & the Golf Swing
GYROTONIC® is a three-dimensional movement system featuring spiraling, fluid movements and targeted breathwork. The golf swing is one of the most complex rotational movements in sports – and GYROTONIC® trains precisely that: spinal mobility, hip flexibility, shoulder girdle control, and coordination within a fluid sequence.
Golf Application – The Difference
The "Application Golf" specialization goes a step beyond general GYROTONIC® training by tailoring exercises specifically to the demands of the game. Martin Lämmerhirt is a former ballet dancer (Ballett Frankfurt) who learned to view the body as an instrument. An active golfer himself for over ten years, he knows from personal experience the physical demands of the sport. He brings to his work with golfers the understanding that every movement possesses a specific quality, not merely a direction.
Typical training goals
Improve thoracic rotation and spinal mobility, build hip mobility and pelvic stability, optimize the shoulder girdle and arm mechanics, develop breathing rhythm and control, and refine the flow of movement and coordination during the swing.

Where GYROTONIC® Application Golf is particularly beneficial
Golf is a sport where small improvements in body mechanics can have a major impact on the game – more rotation, more control, less effort.
GYROTONIC® Application Golf picks up exactly where general fitness training leaves off: focusing on movement quality within the specific demands of the golf swing. Many golfers train for strength or endurance, yet the elements that truly underpin the swing – spinal mobility, hip flexibility, and rotational coordination – are often overlooked.
This is the area where we work – not on the pitch, but on the physical foundation behind it.
Common topics we help with
Thoracic rotation
Greater rotation in the thoracic spine – without compensatory movements in the hips or lumbar spine.
Hip Mobility & Pelvis
Hip opening, pelvic stability, and the connection between the two – the foundation for a controlled, powerful push-off from the ground.
Shoulder Girdle & Arm Movement
Shoulder girdle mobility without tension – for arm movement that transfers power rather than blocking it.
Breath Integration
Every movement is linked to a breathing rhythm – this creates internal control, timing, and neuromuscular precision in the swing.
Coordination & Flow of Movement
The difference between a forced and an effortless swing lies in the flow – and GYROTONIC® trains exactly that.
Injury prevention
Targeted work on the structures most heavily stressed in golf – before overuse becomes a problem.

How to get started with us
GYROTONIC® Application Golf is not a general flexibility workout. We begin with a clear picture – what your body does during the swing, what is missing, and where the most effective starting point lies.
Step 1 | Analysis & Clarification of Goals
We specifically assess your mobility, rotational ability, and coordination – in the context of your swing and your game.
Step 2 | Getting started with the device
Training on the Pulley Tower focusing on movement patterns relevant to golf – rotation, hips, shoulder girdle, and breathing coordination. The exercises are tailored specifically to your assessment findings.
Step 3 | Structure & Progression
We progressively improve mobility, coordination, and movement quality – focusing on precision rather than quantity.
Step 4 | Transfer & GYROKINESIS®
Where appropriate, we provide GYROKINESIS® elements as a home program – requiring no equipment and tailored specifically to the movement demands of the golf swing.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Didn't find what you were looking for? We would be happy to assist you personally.
What is GYROTONIC® Application for Golf?
A specialization within the GYROTONIC® System that aligns exercises and training structure directly with the movement demands of golf – not general flexibility training, but specifically tailored for golfers.
Who is this suitable for – only professionals?
For anyone who plays golf and wants to improve their quality of movement – from weekend golfers to ambitious club players. It is the goal that matters, not the skill level.
What can I expect at the first appointment?
We begin with a discussion and analysis – your swing, your limitations, and your goal. This is followed by an initial training session using the equipment, clearly guided and tailored to your current level.
How often should I train?
That depends on the goal and the initial situation. We will discuss a realistic schedule during the first appointment.
What is the difference between GYROTONIC® Application Golf and golf physiotherapy?
The physiotherapy area focuses on treatment, prevention, and addressing ailments. "Application Golf" involves targeted training for movement quality, rotation, and swing optimization – the two areas complement each other.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing and bring any relevant medical reports or test results, if available. Note: As some individuals are sensitive to scents, we ask that you refrain from wearing strong perfume. Please feel free to contact us if you are unsure.
