Athletic & Coordination Training in Frankfurt – Movement Quality for Sport & Performance

Many people train hard – but strength alone doesn't improve movement. If stability, coordination, and control don't work in harmony, improper loading occurs – issues that eventually manifest as problems. Our athletic and coordination training complements your regular sports routine, focusing on clean movement patterns, better control, and resilience that truly lasts.

The Method

Athletic training builds the foundation that enables reliable athletic performance. The focus is on movement patterns common to almost every sport: accelerating and decelerating, changing direction, landing, rotating, overhead movements, and controlling hip and leg alignment. Quality, not quantity, is the deciding factor.

How we work

Coordination training optimizes how the nervous system controls movement – addressing timing, depth perception, balance, and reaction under load. This often makes the difference between being merely "strong" and possessing "athletically functional" strength. Where appropriate, we integrate movement principles from GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® – utilizing three-dimensional movement paths and breath coordination as a methodological framework.

Typical goals

Build controlled strength and stability, improve coordination and timing, enhance movement efficiency, develop resilience in joints and muscle chains, and prevent injuries through proper movement patterns.

Briefly explained

What is athletic and coordination training?

You’ve come to the right place if...

Performance & Quality

You want to improve your performance – not through increased volume, but through better movement quality.
We identify where your movement patterns lose energy or misdistribute load – and work precisely on those areas.

Technology & Control

You want to work on specific movement aspects – stability during jumping and landing, changes of direction, and trunk rotation.
Not a general fitness program. We prioritize the one or two patterns that are truly critical for your sport and your goal.

Prevention and Buildup

You want to prevent injuries – through better control, not by taking it easy.
Injuries often arise not from a single mistake, but from patterns that become ingrained over time. We help identify and correct these early on.

What athletic and coordination training is particularly useful for

Athletic and coordination training is not a substitute for your regular training – it is the complement that turns good training into better training. Many athletes invest heavily in strength or endurance, yet the quality of movement itself – how cleanly the leg axis tracks, how stable the core connection remains during rotation, and how precisely the body reacts to a rapid change of direction – is often overlooked.

That is precisely our focus. We identify the patterns that are crucial for your sport – and work specifically on those, rather than everything at once.

Common topics we help with

Leg alignment & hip control

Proper leg alignment during jumps, landings, and changes of direction – the foundation for knee stability and efficient force transmission.

Torso Connection & Rotation

Torso control and three-dimensional rotational capability – for sports involving complex rather than linear loading of the body.

Shoulder Girdle & Overhead

Shoulder girdle connection and mobility – for clean overhead work, throws, or swinging movements without compensatory patterns.

Coordination & Proprioception

Depth perception, balance, and reaction under load – the difference between the strength one possesses and the strength one can actually access.

Timing & Flow of Movement

Changing direction, pushing off, and braking – movement patterns that occur constantly in sports, trained with precise coordination.

Transfer & Sport-Specific Information

Exercises and drills that are directly transferable to your sport – not a generic program, but tailored to your specific needs.

How to get started with us

To ensure the training is truly effective, we don’t start with a pre-made program. We first look at what you need – and build from there.

Step 1 | Fundamentals & Technique

Sport, training routine, physical demands, goals – we determine exactly what will help you progress and which movement patterns we should examine first.

We prioritize one or two crucial patterns – leg alignment, trunk rotation, shoulder girdle – and work on them precisely and purposefully.

We combine strength and stability with timing and proprioception – with an approach that makes sense from an athletic perspective.

You receive short supplementary routines and drills that fit into your daily training – concrete, manageable, and ready to use immediately.
